A CVT is like a super hero: they have to be a phlebotomist, pet psychologist, behavior expert, pharmacist, radiologist, anesthesiologist... depending on the day the list could go on and on. Below are some general job descriptions of a CVT here at our clinic.

  • The ability to perform and prepare/ assist in diagnostic procedures
  • Run surgery and anesthesia
  • Maintain complete and accurate patient records
  • Communicate well with clients and team
  • Triage emergency patients
  • Understand the values of being an AAHA accredited hospital
  • Understand vaccine basics and blood values
  • Clerical Duties
  • Answering phones
  • Monitor patients
  • Draw blood and administer vaccines
  • Take radiographs

Requirements

A CVT License in Arizona, that is current and in good standing is required
