Meet Our Team

Dr. Striyle is passionate about your pet's heart health, along with special imaging cases.

Dr. Darmofal, who joined our team in 2018, is passionate about patient-centered care and is a firm believer in providing the absolute best quality medicine tailored for each individual pet. She enjoys all aspects of general practice but has particular interests in soft tissue surgery, ultrasonography/radiology, and physical medicine such as laser therapy and acupuncture.

Dr Heidi Ellermeier grew up in Champaign, Illinois. She attended the University of Illinois and received her undergraduate degree in 2009 and her DVM in 2013. Dr.

Reagan joined our team in 2013. Reagan’s love of animals began with horses and grew after she volunteered at a local zoo.

Stephanie joined our team in 2007. Stephanie grew up in a military family and has lived in several parts of the country as well as Okinawa, Japan. When she and her family returned to the states in 1991, they settled in Arizona.

Adam joined our team in 2019. Born and raised in Phoenix, Adam completed the veterinary technician program at Mesa Community College and was initially signed up for human nursing courses.

Originally from Chicago, Courtney got her Bachelor’s degree in Biology from ISU in 2015. After graduating, her love of animals brought her to the Hudson Valley, NY where she interned on a whitetail deer farm.

Rachael joined our team in 2016. She grew up in Newport Beach and Huntington Beach, CA. She moved to Arizona with her mom and four younger siblings in 2015.

Ashley was born in Spokane, Washington, but raised in the valley of the sun. She has always known she wanted to go into the medical field; however, she has always loved fur babies. Working at 43rd Avenue Animal Hospital has helped her realize that it is possible to combine two things she loves.

Sky is an approved veterinary assistant, and has been working at 43rd Avenue Animal Hospital since October of 2021. For as long as she can remember, she has wanted to work in the veterinary field.

The final Rach of our team (we have 3!) Rach joined our team in 2023. She was born and raised in New Jersey and has been working in animal welfare for 7 years. She enjoys traveling and playing in her rock band, yoga/hiking and adores the Halloween holiday.
