Erika:
Erika came to us from Houston, TX. Before moving to Arizona, she worked at Safari Veterinary Hospital in League City, TX. There she received education in, and subsequently became a trainer and consultant for their veterinary nursing and client communication software. She joined our team in February 2005 and has become a valuable practice manager veterinary nurse and team leader. Her goal is to educate as many people as she can about preventative pet care in hopes of decreasing the number of illnesses in pets. When not working, Erika attends the University of Phoenix where she studies accounting. She also enjoys traveling, reading, movies, music and learning. Kelley:
Kelley is an Arizona native. She graduated from Maryvale High School in 1989, and then attended Glendale Community College. Her love of animals took her to Long Medical where she studied veterinary technology and graduated in 1997. Kelley joined the 43rd Ave. Animal Hospital team in May 1997. As a senior team leader, she is instrumental in teaching, training and mentoring our newer team members. She loves coming to work every day and enjoys helping clients with their pets’ healthcare needs. When not in the office, Kelley participates in a variety of activities including snow skiing, hiking, biking, rollerblading, and riding quads with friends. But her favorite thing to do is spend time with her son. She shares her home with her son, her partner and her 2 dogs.  (photo courtesy of Pawsh Pet Photography)


Claire:
Claire grew up primarily in Canada, moving to the United States several years ago. She attended ASU earning her B.S. in Biology & Society. She was in the inaugural class of the Dr. Jacoby’s Veterinary Technician School, graduating in 2004. She joined the 43rd Ave team right after graduation. Claire earned her C.V.T. in 2007. Claire has a passion for all things in the laboratory and, over the past few years, has helped us to grow our in-house diagnostic capacity considerably. When not at the office, Claire enjoys swimming, hiking, reading, drawing and music. She also does pet sitting on the side, providing a valuable service to many thankful pet owners. Claire shares her home with her boyfriend,  3 cats, 1 dog and her fish.  (photo courtesy of Pawsh Pet Photography)
 


Nancy:
Nancy was born and raised in Minnesota. She attended the University of MN, majoring in Liberal Arts. In the mid-90’s, Nancy moved to Arizona. Nancy realized she had a special flair for customer service, spending time in the customer relations industry. She was able to blend her love of animals to this talent when she joined the 43AAH team in the summer of 1998. When not working, Nancy enjoys gardening, surfing the internet, walking and playing with her kids and pets. Nancy shares her home with her boyfriend, her two sons, her dogs, cats, a guinea pig, a tortoise and some fish.  (photo courtesy of Pawsh Pet Photography)




Ashley:
Ashley grew up in Arizona and graduated from Maryvale High School in 2003. After high school, Ashley attended Phoenix College where she studied criminal justice and biology, earning an associate’s degree in Arts. She then pursued her dream job of becoming a veterinary nurse by graduating from Dr. Jacoby’s Veterinary Technician School in 2006. Ashley has worked with us at 43rd Ave. Animal Hospital since before graduating. She started as kennel help and then advanced into a veterinary nursing position. She works with an awesome team and feels privileged to be working at 43rd AAH. In her free time, Ashley enjoys karaoke, bowling and music. Ashley shares her home with 6 cats and 4 Egyptian spiny mice.  (photo courtesy of Pawsh Pet Photography)



Stephanie:
Stephanie grew up in a military family and has lived in several parts of the country as well as in Okinawa, Japan. When her family returned to the states in 1991, they settled in the Peoria/Glendale area. She graduated from Peoria High School in 1994. Since then she has taken courses at Glendale Community College and spent time working in the retail industry. Her love for animals led her to attend Dr. Jacoby’s Veterinary Technician School and graduated in 2007. Stephanie joined the 43rd Ave team before graduation, starting as kennel help, then advancing to become a veterinary nurse. When not working, Stephanie enjoys cooking. She loves to try new recipes and frequently shares her goodies with her friends and family (which all of her team mates truly enjoy). Stephanie shares her home with her husband, their 3 dogs, 3 cats and a snake.  (photo courtesy of Pawsh Pet Photography)



Analis:
Analis graduated from Peoria High School. After graduation, she attended Apollo College, graduating from their veterinary assistant program in early 2008. Currently, she is enrolled at Glendale Community College, taking her prerequisite courses so she can attend veterinary school and become a veterinarian. Analis joined our team in August 2007. She started as a kennel assistant and is now working as one of our veterinary nurses. When not at the office, and not studying, Analis enjoys staying active. She likes to exercise… running, swimming, roller blading, etc. She also plays the drums and likes to hang out with her friends. When they’re in town, you’ll find her at the NASCAR races. Analis lives at home with her family and her dog, Stinky.  (photo courtesy of Pawsh Pet Photography)



Cindy:
Cindy came to 43rd AAH as a second career. She spent 29 years in Corporate America where she focused & trained on management, finance, quality and customer service. Her insight has been invaluable for our own internal training. When she retired from the corporate-world, she attended Dr. Jacoby’s Veterinary Technician School. She joined our team in April 2006 as a veterinary nurse. When not at the office, Cindy enjoys reading, crafts, puzzles and games. She also travels extensively in the States and around the world. She always brings back treats to her team mates from her excursions. Cindy shares her home with her husband, her dog and her parrot.  (photo courtesy of Pawsh Pet Photography)




Marisa:
Marisa grew up in Miami, FL. She moved to Arizona with her family when she was a teenager and graduated from Apollo High School. Marisa started working at 43rd AAH in 1994! She enjoys working with the dogs and cats as a kennel attendant. When not at work, Marisa enjoys oil painting (you can see some of her work hanging in the halls at the hospital!), playing her keyboard and the occasional bike ride. Marisa lives with her family and her red-footed tortoise and her 3-toed box turtles.  (photo courtesy of Pawsh Pet Photography)
