Dr. Melinda Striyle

Growing up in Kansas City, Dr. Striyle knew she wanted a career helping animals.  She pursued her dream and in 1996, she earned her DVM degree from Kansas State University.  After graduation, she moved to Arizona where she practiced in Lake Havasu City for 3 years before joining 43rd Ave. Animal Hospital in 1999.

Dr. Striyle has over 15 yrs experience in small animal medicine, surgery, dentistry and team leadership. She is a strong advocate of education and regularly teaches team members and clients about veterinary medicine, thereby creating a win-win-win relationship between pet owners, pets and the veterinary healthcare team. She spends hundreds of hours every year in continuing education programs including self-study, formal classes and veterinary conferences.

When not at the office, Dr. Striyle shares her home with a cat, a dog and her wonderful husband.  Dr. Striyle enjoys many hobbies including hiking, cooking and reading. Weather and time permitting, you’ll find her sailing on Lake Pleasant or doing home improvement projects around the house with her husband.

While veterinary medicine, private practice is Dr. Striyle’s passion in life, she also has a strong interest in SCUBA diving and has completed many hours of SCUBA training to become a NAUI Divemaster.  She enjoys exploring ocean reefs and old shipwrecks whenever she can.
